I have always been captivated by the use of light, shadows and colours in cinematic style photographs, and how the camera can be used to transform an everyday environment into something more extraordinary. I find the work of artists such as Edward Hopper and Gregory Crewdson extremely fascinating as they both create their own kind of dream like realities within their work. In my own project I wanted to explore the ability to use light and the camera to manipulate spaces and create cinematic atmospheres in my everyday surroundings.
